Rotary-Cut Veneer

Rotary-Cut Beech Veneer
Rotary-cut beech veneer is a high-quality sliced material, available in specified formats and thicknesses, used for making plywood. Known for its durability, excellent structure, and superior machinability, beech veneer is an ideal choice for various applications.

Process Technology:

  1. Wood Selection:
Only the highest quality wood is chosen for producing top-grade veneers. All round wood intended for rotary-cut veneer features minimal external and internal defects, low knot frequency, and results in a higher yield of quality veneers.

  2. Steaming:
Before peeling, beech logs are steamed in hot water pools to enhance the wood's plasticity and facilitate easier peeling. This process also improves the smoothness and density of the resulting veneer.

  3. Peeling:
Modern peeling machines with a spindle lock mechanism are used for precision. During the peeling process, the log rotates while the cutting blade moves toward the center, creating veneer sheets of the desired thickness.

  4. Drying:
After peeling, the veneer is dried to prevent mold and defects. Conveyor-type roller dryers circulate hot air through multiple chambers, ensuring the veneer exits with the appropriate moisture content of 6-10%.

  5. Sorting:
Post-drying, veneer sheets are carefully sorted according to customer specifications and product requirements. Quality grading is divided into four categories: A, B, C, and D, with "A" representing the highest quality.

Quality Assurance:
Quality is meticulously controlled at every stage of production, from raw material preparation to final sorting. This commitment ensures that customers receive veneer sheets with clear formats, appropriate grades, even thickness, and optimal moisture levels.

The rotary-cut veneer produced from beech wood in western Ukraine is distinguished by its natural luster, distinctive grain, uniform texture, and resistance to mechanical damage.
